Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Zscaler & Network Security Specialist to lead the implementation, integration, and ongoing management of Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, Cloud Connectors, etc.) alongside broader enterprise networking solutions. This role bridges cloud security with traditional network infrastructure, ensuring seamless, secure connectivity across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Zscaler Implementation & Management
- Deploy and configure Zscaler ZIA and ZPA across global user bases
- Integrate Zscaler with identity providers (SSO, SAML, SCIM) and endpoint agents
- Define and enforce policies for secure internet access, zero trust access, and application segmentation
- Monitor Zscaler performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations
Enterprise Networking & Security
- Design and maintain secure network architecture using Fortinet, Palo Alto and Cisco technologies
- Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs and GlobalProtect
- Administer Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and support LAN/WAN operations
- Implement and maintain network segmentation, NAT, ACLs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Collaborate on network hardening and threat prevention strategies across platforms
- Understanding of VMware technologies including NSX-T and AVI beneficial
Monitoring & Optimization
- Use tools like FortiAnalyzer, Cisco DNA, Panorama, Strata Cloud Manager and Zscaler dashboards to monitor traffic and security events
- Analyze logs and telemetry to detect anomalies and enforce compliance
- Continuously tune network and security policies for performance and protection
- Zscaler Private Access Segmentation Policy creation using Zscaler’s AI technology to map against known application traffic to build Segment Policies and Security policies
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to align Zscaler and network strategies
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Zscaler, Fortinet, and Cisco-related incidents
- Train internal teams on Zscaler and network best practices
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain detailed documentation of network topologies, Zscaler configurations, firewall rules, and change logs
- Ensure alignment with organizational security standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience of performing regulatory compliance audits (SOC1, SOCII)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network and cloud security operations
- Hands-on expertise with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and Client Connector
- Strong experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager), Palo Alto (Firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect) and Cisco (FTD, Meraki, Catalyst)
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, NAT, BGP, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), SSO, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience of Azure Networking (including vWAN hubs)
Preferred Certifications
- Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP)
- Palo Alto Certified Professional (Network Security)
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
- Cisco CCNP Security or CCIE
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (bonus)

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
