The ICOS Vision Systems division focuses on the backend of the line semiconductor industry providing fully automated tools to inspect and sort, finished integrated circuit packages. For more than 15 years, ICOS has been a market leader with tray-to-tray and tray-to-tape inspection and sorting tools found in the production facilities of all major chipmakers in the world. Our market-leading technology and superior customer service requires strong talent in optics, machine control, algorithms and applications within our engineering teams. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Zeta development team is looking for a self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented engineer to ensure smooth adoption of new wafer metrology products at key customer sites. This role requires close interaction with both the customer and local business account team, while maintaining strong ties to the KLA development team in Belgium and Singapore.

This position requires effective customer management and deft interpersonal skills, in addition to a deep technical understanding of the KLA product and how it is used by the customer. Strong communication skills both oral and written are required for this job. We are looking for candidates who have intellectual curiosity, are natural problem solvers, work well with others, possess a desire to grow and can demonstrate leadership skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the systems engineering efforts for precision 3D metrology machines, ensuring all components work harmoniously to achieve high-precision measurements
• Responsible for system integration, test and characterization. Define system and subsystem specifications
• Perform detailed systems analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Provide training to manufacturing engineers and NPI engineers. Take periodic training at KLA headquarters to stay technically current on the latest product development.
• Support manufacturing and field service on optics and systems related escalations. On a day-to-day basis have the ability to resolve apparent conflicts and make priority calls that are aligned with program objectives. Escalate when appropriate.
• Document design, testing and diagnosis procedures to transfer the design to manufacturing.
• Communicate status and changes on a periodic basis to management in the form of weekly reports and live presentation.
• Maintain rigor within the group by demanding adherence to the planned strategy and calling for periodic reviews to determine if the plan needs to change.
• Be an agent of change: The semiconductor industry is a fast-paced industry with constant change and ever-increasing speed of new product introductions. The successful candidate is expected to adopt and drive new ideas and new ways of doing things in a fast moving and highly competitive industry.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Optics, or related fields with at least 5-8 years of work experience.
• Ability to work effectively with little supervision and achieve results in a timely manner
• Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. Ideally, have strong experience in managing and messaging to customers.
• Proven track record of technical issues resolution. Good problem solver who works well as part of a focused team.
• Experience developing or supporting complex optical-mechanical systems or assemblies
• Experience in opto-electronics, sensor technology, microscopy, optics, or systems design/support.
• Excellent English communication skills are required. Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus but not necessary.
• Programming skills are a plus (Python, matlab, C#, …)

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
