The opportunity
Downer Energy and Utilities is seeking a Zero Harm Advisor to support the delivery of health, safety and environmental outcomes across our operations. This role is responsible for supporting robust Zero Harm systems and performance, partnering with operational leaders, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across projects and sites.
Working closely with project teams, leaders and stakeholders, you will:
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of Zero Harm systems, processes and training
- Coach leaders and project teams on health, safety and environmental requirements and best practice
- Support incident investigations, injury management and return to work processes
- Coordinate Zero Harm reporting, audits, inspections and compliance activities
- Drive stakeholder engagement and promote a proactive safety culture across projects
- Support project mobilisation and shutdown activities where required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Construction Industry White Card
- Experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a contracting or project environment
- Experience supporting incident investigations and injury management programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability
- Well developed communication and influencing skills
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards and management systems
- Intermediate Microsoft 365 skills
- A collaborative approach with a strong commitment to Zero Harm outcomes
- The ability to travel to project sites as required
Preferred qualifications include Auditor Training, ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications, Return to Work Coordinator accreditation and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
