Key Responsibilities:
- Work with development and product support to verify the quality of product changes.
- Manage automated test harnesses, including adding new test cases and debugging test harness failures.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, code reviews, test plan analysis, and other work related to Zen product functionality.
- Improve processes in existing testing infrastructure to ensure test harnesses and test cases are kept up to date with changes in Zen product functionality.
- Create test strategies and plans encompassing a suite of reliable test cases.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of professional experience in Quality Engineering, software development/maintenance, or DevOps.
- In-depth knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (c/c++ or Java preferred).
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Background in data-management internals (relational db concepts, SQL language/syntax/dialects, relational data access methods such as ODBC/JDBC, etc.)
Additional Skills:
- In-depth debugging skills.
- Log analysis, data analysis, and performance analysis tools.
- Basic knowledge of B-Tree and key-value stores implementations.
- Familiarity with using Virtual Machines (vSphere preferred).
