z/OS Systems Programmer, with ISV and DR testing- Remote no on call

Role Summary

As the z/OS Systems Programmer, you will be engaged on the transition from client’s in-house IT into Ensono’s support.  You will participate in Knowledge Transfer with clients and assist in documentation creation.  The focus is on the ISV software and license key procedures for those products.  You will identify which software products require a license key, document procedures for applying, and then apply keys for the products during migration. 

Your primary job responsibility will be to shadow the client engineers and assist in the transition of services to Ensono engineers. You will support mainframe disaster recovery team during disaster recovery drills and exercises.   While supporting ISV and z/OS for the Disaster Recovery Team, you may be engaged in more than one DR drill simultaneously. 

You will also install and support ISV software on a z/OS system and attend project meetings to understand scope of planned disaster recovery drills, address issues as they arise during the drill as well as review and correct any procedures as necessary.

What You Will Need:

• 8-10 years of experience working within a z/OS environment
• 3-5 years ISV licensing experience
• Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z/OS, Storage, VTAM
• Understanding of  JCL
• Successful associates should be familiar with installation or support of mainframe ISV products such as SAS, CA/Broadcom, McKinney Systems, BMC, PRECISELY and others
  • This includes experience with SMP/E, base installation and maintenance application
• Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel to a level of creating documents which can be shared with clients.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
