This is a remote contract role.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized individual to join our Audience Development team as Associate Manager, YouTube Operations. This role reports to the YouTube Operations Manager and will play a critical role in supporting the execution and operational workflows behind Crunchyroll's rapidly growing global YouTube network.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy managing complex workflows across multiple stakeholders, this could be a great fit. In this role, you will act as the operational backbone of the team, ensuring a high volume of content moves seamlessly from curation to publishing while serving as the primary point of contact for our external agency partner.

While this role is closely focused on YouTube, success will be driven by strong project management, organization, and communication skills, rather than deep platform expertise alone.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is passionate about anime and fandom communities, highly accountable, and excited to help bring content to fans at scale.

  • Support onboarding of agency partners, establishing workflows, approval processes, and communication cadences.

Content Operations & Publishing

  • Manage high-volume YouTube publishing operations, including rapid-turnaround and bulk uploads with accurate metadata, monetization, and geoblocking settings
  • Track and manage content approvals and seasonal workflows, ensuring delivery

Workflow & Process Management

  • Maintain and continuously improve operational workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and scalability
  • Manage cross-functional requests and approvals, ensuring clear prioritization, visibility across stakeholders, and timely turnaround
  • Maintain visibility into project status, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, process, and execution
  • Eager to learn and continuously improve processes.
  • Respect for anime and its culture, familiarity with fandom communities.

  • Experience managing agency relationships in a media, entertainment, or content environment.
  • Familiarity with YouTube Studio, content management systems, or digital asset management tools.
