About the Role

Crunchyroll is looking for a YouTube Operations & Content Specialist to support and grow our India YouTube presence. This role will focus on content planning, channel operations, audience growth, and rights-safe publishing.

The ideal candidate understands YouTube deeply, is comfortable working with content operations, and can balance creativity with structure. Familiarity with anime is a plus but not mandatory.

Key ResponsibilitiesYouTube Channel Operations
  • Manage day-to-day uploads, scheduling, metadata, thumbnails, and playlists.
  • Execute content plans including shorts, long-form clips, and community posts.
  • Optimize titles, tags, descriptions, and thumbnails to maximize discovery and engagement.
  • Track performance and provide insights and recommendations.
Content Planning & Optimization
  • Contribute to the content calendar based on performance data, audience insights, and marketing priorities.
  • Monitor platform trends, competitor activity, and audience behavior to inform strategy.
  • Support experimentation with formats and creative approaches.
Rights & Compliance
  • Ensure content is published in accordance with licensing, platform, and rights guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate metadata and IP tagging for reporting and compliance.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams on campaigns and releases.
  • Provide regular reporting and actionable insights on channel performance.
Skills & Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience managing YouTube channels for a brand, creator, or media company.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube analytics, and optimization practices.
  • Experience with metadata, thumbnail best practices, and content scheduling.
  • Comfortable balancing data, creativity, and compliance.

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Three in-person days per week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are the company-wide days for ALL team members to be in the office, and individuals may choose to come in more if they please.
