POSITION PURPOSE:

We are looking for a Yardi expert to join the CIM team responsible for the administration and support of our Yardi systems, including evaluating, documenting, and maintaining the systems up to date with the latest available plug-ins, controlling user access and permissions, and keeping the system compliant with both internal and external audits. This role will work with various departments to implement, document, test, and support the application systems. To succeed in this role, you must be highly motivated and customer service-oriented. In addition, you should have a technical and analytical background and way of thinking while also being able to explain complex concepts to non-technical users. Project management experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate as a technical resource in projects and give valuable input into system configuration, database, data, and other options to deliver a best-in-class solution.
  • Serve as a member of the administration team for a complex Yardi financial applications environment with over a thousand users and multiple databases.
  • Play a key role in the Yardi delivery team for the Yardi Internationalization and Investment Accounting projects.
  • Work alongside the application support team to triage, route and follow through to completion, escalated service tickets for Yardi and other financial systems interfaces and platforms.
  • Work closely with the business leads to deliver technical updates and enhancements within the Yardi platform.
  • Participate in the weekly Change Advisory Board representing updates and changes to the Yardi platforms.
  • Own and maintain documentation of software customizations and other system configurations for custom menus, reports, integrations, scheduled tasks, and report scheduler events.
  • Participate in delivering user training/support and maintenance of new and existing applications within and related to Yardi.
  • Document and maintain permissions, menus, and security for Yardi Application, based on best practices and working directly with internal audit to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with developers to implement a solution and/or produce custom reports for end-users.
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
  • Manage internal Yardi Administrative improvement projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.

  • Additionally:
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and annual status reports as requested.
  • Stay apprised of audit requirements and responsibilities and participate in audit control reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five years of experience as a Yardi administrator
  • Five or more years’ experience in business systems application assignment, preferably in a large real estate, investment, or other regulated environments
  • Yardi report writing experience
  • Experience with Yardi International and Investment Accounting/Management a plus
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills

ABOUT YOU:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Yardi modules, especially international environments, investment accounting, and the full suite of Yardi Elevate products
  • Able to comprehend complex issues and provide suggestions for problem-solving
  • Self-directed, able to prioritize, set, and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Monday.com, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar enterprise databases and ability to query enterprise databases using SQL

Actual base salary considers several factors, including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, CA, is $100,000 - $140,000.
