About the Team:

Are you passionate about storytelling and eager to write for games? Insomniac Games is searching for a talented Writing Intern who is excited to learn all aspects of game writing, from crafting character arcs to embracing the rewriting process.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with a team to "break story" and outline narrative elements.
• Develop character arcs and one-sheets for casting and art reference.
• Organize and maintain various types of online documentation.
• Create documents and presentations to communicate the story to the team.
• Write cinematic dialogue and attend mocap/p-cap sessions.
• Write in-game dialogue and participate in voice-over recording sessions.
• Review scripts and provide constructive feedback.
• Continuously rewrite and refine scripts as part of the development process.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree MFA  in Writing, Game Design, or a related field.
• Projected to graduate by Spring 2026. 
• Strong critical thinking and writing skills are essential.
• Ideal candidates are self-motivated, creative, and passionate about writing for video games.
• Writing samples are required to be considered for this internship.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Available to work full-time during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th, 2025.
• Must commit to the full 12-week internship duration.
• Open to U.S. citizens or international students with F-1 visas.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.
