Main Responsibilities:
- Providing smooth operation for husbandry services related to crew change, meet and greet, cash to master, medical assistance etc…
- Acting as WPS representative towards vessel crew.
- Proactively catering to vessel’s requirements.
- Communicating with vessels to collect the information required by the different parties.
- Monitoring regulatory compliance (terminal and access channel restrictions, vessel line-up, cargo handling method and rate, pre-arrival notifications).
- Communicating with various governmental authorities (Port Authorities, Immigration, Health and Quarantine, Custom etc…)
- Preparing ships’ customs, port authorities, Immigration and other pertinent documents.
- Attending to vessel arrival/departure (after hours while on duty).
- Keeping masters notified of berthing prospects, operation schedule, and special requirements.
- Arranging pilot, linesmen, tug service for vessel arrival/shift/departure.
- Assisting Fleet Operators and Ship Owners, Charterers, and relating parties by keeping them closely updated on vessels’ progress.
Qualifications:
- Good English speaking and writing skills, able to read and understand maritime and shipping related documents.
- Able to process and follow guidelines instructed by authorities or relating parties.
- College or University graduate.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- At least one year’s experience as a boarding agent.
- Familiar and experienced with E-documents submission on National Single Window system.
- Basic knowledge of Vietnam port system and local access channels.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are required.
- Attentive to details, methodical and well planning.
- People oriented: must be able to build strong relationships with crew, owners, suppliers, service providers, and authorities.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work overtime.
