WPS MARITIME LOGISTICS MANAGER
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive growth, generating business for Maritime Logistics (ML) department.
- Obtain profitable results by developing the team through motivation, skills development and product knowledge development.
- Manage sales administration functions, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes where possible, advising senior management on maximizing business relationships and creating an environment where customers service can flourish.
- Manage the sales, develop a business plan covering sales, revenue and expense controls, meeting agreed targets mainly in line with our principals’ requirements.
- Ensure that sales activities are in line with Wilhelmsen’s code of conduct.
- Monitor the performance of the sales by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports and team meetings.
- Implement appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member in ML team.
- Provide ongoing training for the ML team so that they possess sufficient knowledge to present information on the company’s products and services in an accurate and balanced manner.
- Ensure monthly reporting and development of business with strategic partners.
- Gathering marketing intelligence about customers, competitors, suppliers, regulations and industry trends.
- Use of quality systems like GIMS to record improvement potential, non-conformity, customer complaints and positive feedback
- Develop and establish new networks to broaden market reach and foster business expansion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, principals to ensure satisfaction.
- Learn other aspects of the WPS services offered and other divisions within WPS.
- Keep creating Wilhelmsen service values to Maritime Logistics customers.
- Extend best cooperation and assistance with various departments to obtain the best results for both clients and the organization.
- Cooperate, coordinate and follow up with overseas partners.
- Prepare data for marketing reports for further timely submitted to the principals/ management etc.
- All employees are responsible for following QHSSE policies, guidelines, procedures and legal & other requirements established by the company in line with ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001: 2018
Qualifications:
- Good command of English.
- Experience: at least 5 years of experience working in the maritime logistics sector, especially in management or team leader positions.
- Professional Knowledge: A thorough understanding of international processes, regulations, and practices in sea transport, port operations, and maritime supply chains.
- Leadership Skills: Capable of leading, inspiring, and developing a team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Project Management and Optimization Skills: Ability to plan, implement, and oversee logistics projects, while simultaneously optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Possessing sharp analytical thinking and the ability to handle complex situations, making timely and effective decisions.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: The ability to build good relationships with partners, clients, and other departments, as well as negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, maritime transport, economics, or a related field is required.

Compensation:
