Workshop Supervisor

Purpose of the Position:Skilled Mechanical Technician to join our mechanical workshop team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the maintenance of rotary equipment, particularly pumps, and possess strong analytical abilities for root cause analysis both on-site and in the workshop environment. This role involves a blend of hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, teamwork, and a commitment to safety standards.Major Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on rotary equipment, with a primary focus on pumps and its commissioning and installation.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for equipment failures both at the site and within the workshop.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure timely and effective equipment repairs.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role, with a focus on rotary equipment maintenance, particularly pumps.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulics of pump and other equipment’s including troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
• Issue comprehensive field service and pump inspection reporting and record-keeping practices
• Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization’s maintenance goals and monitor preventive maintenance compliance.
• Communicate and document, work procedures, technical details, and any updates to workshop and field service team.
• Stepping in to help coordinate more complex maintenance work.
• Issue monthly report (jobs executed, pending, re-does, job delays, job canceled, customer reports status).
• To maintain all tools and equipment (hand tools, calibration of measuring tools, calibration of lifting tools)
• Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Escalate technical product issues to Quality / Product Management / Product Engineering
• Provide product feedback/customer suggestions to concerned departments.
• Comply with and ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environment policies.

Qualifications:

• Formal Education:        DAE -BS Mechanical
• Professional Experience (in Years):   5-7 years of servicing pumps and other rotary equipment
