We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Workshop Supervisor for our Oxford depot, supporting a fleet of over 95 buses and 32 coaches serving Oxfordshire.


As Workshop supervisor, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our fleet is clean, safe, and road‑ready, while supporting the ongoing development of the workshop as our fleet evolves, including the introduction of electric vehicles and associated depot infrastructure.


What you’ll be doing


· Motivating your team to deliver safe, reliable and well-presented vehicles

· Assist colleagues where required with job guidance & diagnosis

· Ensuring vehicle maintenance and servicing activities are being carried out

· Quality checking vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards are met

· Upholding health, safety and environmental standards in line with legislation and Stagecoach policy


What we’re looking for


· Relevant engineering experience, including mechanical, electrical and bodywork knowledge

· Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant engineering field (mechanical or automotive)

· Experience managing or supervising a workshop or technical team, and a strong understanding PCV operations

· Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory standards

· A people-centred approach to leadership, with strong communication and influencing skills

· Ability to plan, analyse, and make confident decisions in a dynamic environment
