We are currently looking for an Equipment Manager for our new factory in the Columbus, Ohio area. This leader will manage the maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and machine and electrical servicing for the organization's facilities. Other main responsibilities include monitoring equipment and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness as well as planning and scheduling all maintenance activities for facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior leaders in ensuring equipment operation and support production departments in achieving production capacity targets. Guide team to promptly follow up on equipment abnormalities reported by production departments and resolve them as quickly as possible.
  • Organize and implement the maintenance and repair of production equipment, conduct regular patrols and operational checks, and ensure smooth production operations.
  • Assist senior leaders in achieving departmental targets. Responsible for managing the failure rate indicators, reducing the downtime of critical equipment, analyzing, and reducing equipment failure rate and ensuring good operational condition of the equipment.
  • Quality indicator management: Responsible for analyzing and improving various issues that affect product quality, reducing the workshop's return rate and rework rate, and increasing the yield of good products.
  • Maintenance cost management: Responsible for managing the purchase requisition, acceptance, evaluation, and setting of safety stock for spare parts, as well as other daily tasks related to spare parts management. Through effective spare parts management, aim to continuously reduce maintenance costs.
  • Ensure daily equipment maintenance tasks are complete.
  • Develop and organize the implementation of equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for the production base, ensuring that the production equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Promote on-site TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in the workshop and organize the implementation of equipment precision management.
  • Collect, analyze, and generate reports on maintenance data. Ensure proper documentation, archiving, and confidential management of relevant records and information.
  • Maintain PM files, equipment-related management manuals, procedures, record forms, and other related documents.
  • Organize and carry out improvement and technical transformation projects and continuously drive the improvement of overall equipment efficiency.
  • Actively promote the adoption of new technologies and new equipment to enhance product quality, reduce production costs, alleviate labor intensity, and improve working conditions.
  • Organize training and team-building activities. Develop training plans to enhance personnel skills and ensure a continuous talent pipeline within the overall team.
  • Assist in the management of the company's confidentiality system.
  • Effectively implement the company's confidentiality responsibility system.
  • Strictly control the confidentiality of the workplace to ensure the confidentiality of production technology processes, equipment models, and other sensitive information.
  • Regularly conduct confidentiality education and training, providing guidance to department personnel on carrying out their own responsibilities in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist in the completion of the company's EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management work.
  • Cooperate with EHS to conduct safety inspections and implement necessary corrective actions. Ensure the safety management of maintenance and operations personnel.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.  

  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in the related area.  

  • 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required 

  • Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. 

  • Strong Knowledge of productions safety required. 

  • Abundant experience of Mechanical drawing, for example CAD software.  

  • Strong Knowledge of ISO9001, work-floor 6S standard and Microsoft Office. 

  • Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. 

  • Strong learning ability demonstrates curiosity and innovative ways of doing things. 

  • Willingness to travel to China as part of onboarding program Fall 2023 for a potential of 1-2 months. 

  • Ability to speak publicly with confidence and poise. 

  • Strong sense of ambition, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
