Job Description:
What You'll Do

  • Management of all aspects of Workplace Violence Prevention including Threat Assessment Management. Responsibilities include: Assessing risks and threats which protect Discover employees, property, brand, and events. Establishes methodologies for identifying and researching new potential threats using public and private open-source intelligence (OSINT), and other effective research techniques. Leads the creations of clear, effective, and proactive plans for avoiding and mitigating newly emerging or evolving threats. Alerts top Leadership along with business partners of potential issues and threats within the organization, security plans and procedures. Responsible for leading all Workplace Violence Prevention initiatives, outreach activities, and training and response programs. Responsible for leading the Threat Assessment Group (TRG), tabletop, and functional exercises for Company. This position leads all Threat Assessment investigations as well as oversees completed assessments by internal and external investigators. This position has direct collaboration and partnerships with internal and external resources and organizations. Responsible for engaging key stakeholders with effective and proactive program analysis, developing multiple site-specific safety and prevention trainings, assists with establishing proactive policies and protocols including the development of efficient and effective reporting instruments. Responsible for the timely reporting of all reportable events to OSHA following the investigation and reporting of an incident. Partners with industry colleagues and peers from other organizations to develop best practice standards for managing and mitigating workplace violence incidents.
  • Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.


How You'll Do It

  • Designs and manages all aspects of the Workplace Violence Prevention program including advancing training and awareness for workplace security and safety protocols for the company including timely OSHA reporting following incidents
  • Leads the assessment of high-risk workplace violence situations, evolving threats and safety issues in cooperation with briefing HR, Legal, Executive leadership and local Security.
  • Develops and leads the Workplace Violence Threat Assessment team of Investigators on strategy for internal investigations involving workplace, work from home and domestic violence matters. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk
  • Serves as Enterprise Security Communications and Awareness program liaison; The Manager will help plan, develop, review and update written communications and awareness training for colleagues and stakeholders; coordinate and liaison with the Enterprise Security Communications & Awareness lead, Internal Communications team, and Enterprise Security Training Program Manager including design and implementation of programs to educate and mitigate workplace violence risk. Serves as an advisor in the Industry to assist with standing up legitimate WPV, Employee Safety & Threat Assessment Curriculums
  • Works closely with Travel Safety and Executive Protection partners and serves in backup capacity to plan and support safe and productive international and domestic travel in support of the broader leadership team by leveraging various assessments, standards, and guidelines, including home assessments for Executive Leadership offering guidance that mitigates risk


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in Security and Intelligence or related
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Security, Law Enforcement, Investigations, Threat Assessment, or related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of experience in Law Enforcement; Threat Analysis, Workplace Violence Program Management, or related

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
