Thoughtworks Sydney is looking for its newest Workplace Operations & Experience Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our brand new George Street office space.  This role sits within our global Workplace Operations & Experience function focused on facilities, hosting clients, and employee connection & engagement.

You will impact the day to day life of Thoughtworkers based in the Sydney Office and the wider APAC region by providing the support to ensure that the space runs smoothly from both a technical and operational standpoint and Thoughtworkers have what they need to deliver extraordinary impact from their devices and space.

This is a full-time in office role with a requirement for flexibility to alter core working hours to support after hours events (evenings and weekends) as required. This is initially a 12 month, fixed term contract.

Job responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service; acting as a host to Thoughtworkers and external visitors to support them whilst using the space (technology, facilities etc).
  • Build connection and employee engagement by delivering on internal & external events and activations, community meetups & client workshops (being on site to support the setup, execution and pack up of events). 
  • Ensuring appropriate supplies are available within the space to support the current and planned usage (i.e. pantry, stationary, catering etc).
  • Record and maintain information in appropriate systems relating to health & safety, maintenance, sustainability, asset management or budgeting.
  • Provide first level support to Thoughtworkers with processes such as Travel booking, facilities use, collaboration tools, device usage.
  • Assist logistics in regarding to onboarding and offboarding of Thoughtworker devices (both internal and client).
  • Troubleshoot and fix building maintenance and technology issues (such as Zoom rooms, building maintenance issues etc).
  • Work with other Workplace Operations & Experience team members to deliver plans for national and regional projects across connection and engagement activities.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
  • Experience and exposure with the operations of running an office environment and events (in person and virtual)
  • Basic knowledge of device and SaaS technologies:
    • MacOS & Apple Devices.
    • Collaboration tools (Zoom, Google Workspaces).
  • Willingness to learn workplace technologies (with support):
    • Assist in network troubleshooting 
    • Managing ticketing (Zendesk)
    • Recording and managing technology assets (ServiceNow)
Professional Skills
  • Excellent hosting experience with a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to solve problems to be able to deliver a solution with support.
  • Willing to learn new concepts and expand on their technical depth and share those learnings with the team.
  • Able to pick up ideas and concepts quickly and give them a try.
  • Flexible and collaborative.
