Workplace Manager
Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Workplace Manager in our Kent, WA facility to lead the installation and maintenance of infrastructure, services, and amenities that align with Hypertherm Associates’ standards and strategies. In this role, you’ll work across one or multiple sites, managing a blend of direct team members, vendor partners, and property management to ensure our workplaces run smoothly and effectively.
As the Workplace Manager, you will be:
Driving capital expansion plans and overall budget expenses management with clear scopes, thoughtful budgets, strong justifications, and timelines that keep projects moving with purpose.
Ensuring every project meets Hypertherm standards—from materials and workmanship to safety, compliance, and landlord expectations.
Keeping stakeholders aligned in a matrix organization with transparent communication, status updates, and budget visibility that support proactive decision‑making.
Strengthening workplace infrastructure through facility assessments, maintenance standards, and lean practices that boost reliability and efficiency.
Building effective vendor and landlord partnerships grounded in clear contracts, performance reviews, value creation, and continuous improvement.
Shaping workplace services and amenities—from food service to events to environmental programs—to deliver an exceptional experience across all sites.
Optimizing space and workplace design by guiding utilization strategies, managing furniture and equipment standards, and overseeing onboarding, moves, and transitions.
Who you are and the experience you bring:
6+ years of experience in services/amenities and space planning, construction project management and infrastructure maintenance
Skilled at building strong, productive vendor partnerships
Clear and confident communicator, both in writing and in person
Collaborative relationship‑builder with the ability to influence facility‑related decisions
Experienced in contract negotiation and vendor performance oversight
Technically strong leader who enjoys mentoring and developing others
Analytical thinker with a knack for solving problems in real time
Adept at translating customer needs into actionable technical requirements
Thrives in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environments
Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools (including Microsoft Project)
Known for delivering high‑quality results while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
BS in related discipline
Project Management certification (e.g. PMI)
IFMA Certifications CAD experience
Location: Onsite in Kent, WA (Relocation assistance provided)
Travel: Domestic - up to 10%
