The Role

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Reporting directly to EMEA Sr. Director Global Places and Services (GPS), this managerial role is based in London and integral to our UK operations. As a Lead, you will be a pivotal member of the EMEA GPS Cities team, working closely with GPS leaders in the EMEA region and global teams. You will interact with stakeholders across various functions including Marketing, Sales, HR, Legal, Communications, and Technology, ensuring comprehensive operational alignment and strategic implementation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are in search of a dynamic Lead, GPS Operations who will oversee and enhance UK (work)place operations management across Real Estate, IFM, Food & Nutrition, Events, Mobility and Sport. This role demands a proactive leader capable of implementing and coordinating operational EMEA and Global frameworks and processes across various teams to ensure peak operational efficiency and effectiveness at the respective location.

We are looking for a driven and experienced professional with a proven ability to manage complex operations and facilities while delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of stakeholder management and operational expertise, with the ability to manage both high-level initiatives and day-to-day functions effectively.

The candidate needs:

  • Demonstrable experience in workplace facilities management, real estate operations, or a related field within a global or multi-site organization.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%-15% for operational needs and project execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to support in planning and execution of large-scale projects, optimize operational processes, and implementation of GPS strategies and priorities.

  • Facility Management: Proven experience managing workplace and/or sports facilities, including renovations, maintenance, and compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Vendor Management: Expertise in vendor- and contract management, assessing vendor performance, and building strong vendor relationships.

  • Budget management: Experience in managing budget management- (opex/capex) and storytelling

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage relationships across multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to analyze systems and implement efficient solutions while managing budgets and resources effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

This position offers a unique opportunity to impact Nike’s strategic (work) place operations significantly and drive innovation in operational excellence across UK locations. On behalf of GPS, you steward Real Estate, IFM, Events, Nutrition, Mobility and Sport for EMEA and local stakeholders.

You will lead a comprehensive suite of responsibilities designed to optimize the functionality and efficiency of our London operations:

  • Support and collaborate with large-scale maintenance, renovations, and facility management projects to ensure up-to-date and compliant operations.

  • Manage and execute strategic planning for space utilization, ergonomics, security protocols, and asset management.

  • Oversee sports and fitness facility operations, ensuring alignment with business rhythms and budget management.

  • Implement nutrition and food service operations at responsible locations, ensuring adherence to GPS standards and local regulations.

  • Support and coach the UK- based event team that bring Only at Nike moments to life across UK and EMEA.

  • Ensure vendor contract management rhythm of the business activities including financial and performance management.

  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting across all operational facets, maintaining compliance with GPS governance standards.

  • Drive local demand sensing and relationship management, aligning GPS strategies with local operational requirements and stakeholder expectations.
