About Distyl AI:

Distyl AI develops production-grade AI systems to power core operational workflows for Fortune 500 companies. Powered by a strategic partnership with OpenAI, in-house software accelerators, and deep enterprise AI expertise, we deliver working AI systems with rapid time to value – within a quarter.

Our products have helped Fortune 500 customers across diverse industries, from insurance and CPG to non-profits. As part of our team, you will help companies identify, build, and realize value from their GenAI investments, often for the first time. We are customer-centric, working backward from the customer’s problem and holding ourselves accountable for creating both financial impact and improving the lives of end-users.

Distyl is led by proven leaders from top companies like Palantir and Apple and is backed by Lightspeed, Khosla, Coatue, Dell Technologies Capital, Nat Friedman (Former CEO of GitHub), Brad Gerstner (Founder and CEO of Altimeter), and board members of over a dozen Fortune 500 companies.

What We Are Looking For:

Distyl is looking for a Workplace Experience Manager who will set the bar for how we operate and feel as a company. This isn't a traditional office management role. We need someone with high agency, impeccable taste, and genuine passion for building exceptional workplace culture and experiences. You'll be both strategist and operator: senior enough to design systems, implement playbooks, and resource-manage as we scale, while staying hands-on enough to execute the details that matter. You'll own the end-to-end experience of our office from daily operations to culture-driving moments, ensuring Distyl remains a place where top talent wants to be.

The ideal candidate moves at startup speed, has experienced hyper-growth (Series A-C), and knows how to build infrastructure that scales without losing the magic. You have a service-oriented mindset, obsess over details, and treat our office like a product that needs constant refinement.

Key Responsibilities:Office Operations & Infrastructure
  • Own day-to-day operations of the office: facilities, supplies, space planning, seating charts, equipment, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly

  • Build and manage relationships with building management and external vendors (cleaning, security, catering, etc.)

  • Oversee and collaborate with the Office Coordinator to ensure operational excellence and synergy between the SF and NY office

  • Ensure workplace safety, compliance, and emergency preparedness protocols are in place and maintained

  • Lead planning and execution for office expansion, future floor buildouts, and long-term space strategy as the team scales

  • On-site four-five days per week

Workplace Experience & Culture
  • Create a hospitality-driven environment that reflects high standards of professionalism, service, and care—for employees, visitors, and partners

  • Design and execute culture-building initiatives, team events, and engagement programs that reinforce Distyl's values and foster connection across offices

  • Own employee services programs including perks, food and beverage, wellness initiatives, and swag

  • Establish feedback loops and internal communication channels to continuously improve the workplace experience

  • Welcome and host VIP guests, partners, and new hires, ensuring everyone feels welcome and taken care of

  • Serve as a key stakeholder in onboarding experience design and major company moments (offsites, all-hands, celebrations)

Budget & Vendor Management
  • Own and manage office budget for supplies, food, events, and vendor contracts

  • Negotiate with vendors to optimize for both cost efficiency and quality

Qualifications:
  • 4–6+ years in workplace experience, office operations, or related roles, ideally at a high-growth startup (Series A-C stage)

  • Proven track record of building scalable operations with high attention to detail

  • Has managed direct reports and scaled workplace operations from 100 to 500+ employees

  • Strong systems thinker who can design playbooks, processes, and infrastructure that grow with the company

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and move quickly

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you can work effectively with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners

  • Proactive, resourceful, high-agency mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving

  • Passion for creating thoughtful, memorable experiences and a strong sense of design and aesthetic

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including equity options and healthcare.

  • The opportunity to work at a mission-driven AI startup that is transforming how Fortune 500 companies operate.

  • A fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your contributions will directly impact the company’s success.

  • A collaborative culture that values professional growth and encourages taking on new responsibilities.

  • Exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies and the opportunity to support a world-class team.

Note: This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing and able to be at the office 4-5 days a week.
