Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a passionate and people-centric Workplace Adviser to join our growing Workplace team. Based at our Tokyo office, you will help us to support day-to-day operations to foster a great workplace experience for our Wisers in Tokyo.
Your mission:
Our Global Workplace Team plays a key part in the employee experience at Wise, through our curated spaces, events and services. Our mission is to create and maintain a safe and inspiring workplace for Wisers to achieve our Mission. As a workplace specialist, you are building your expertise in your field and starting to apply it to different types of problems proactively. The solutions you propose require weighing up a variety of factors before coming to a conclusion. Some of the tasks include:
Ensuring our physical space is fully operational and processes are running efficiently, taking into consideration various factors and developing your expertise to handle different types of problems with minimal supervision;
Developing a comprehensive understanding of the broader functions and goals of the company, aligning your expertise with the organisation's strategic objectives;
Developing a network outside of your immediate team and build productive internal working relationships to collaboratively resolve mutual problems to enhance workplace efficiency;
Actively building productive internal working relationships and act as a liaison between Wisers and the Workplace Team, gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve the workplace experience. Implement feedback mechanisms and surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for enhancement, utilising moderate judgement to adapt processes when needed;
Understanding and working within budget constraints, emphasising the importance of fiscal responsibility in all workplace projects and initiatives to support Mission Zero;
Supporting the Workplace Leads and Project Managers with any ad-hoc projects, and take on more responsibility for local supervisory tasks when needed, assisting with medium-sized/complex issues and clients;
Continuously building your expertise in workplace solutions and apply it to resolve a variety of routine and some complex issues within the company. Taking ownership of smaller, complex end-to-end projects that have a wider impact across the organization.;
You are able to mentor junior team members, guiding their growth and development. To provide support, share knowledge, and offer constructive feedback to help juniors excel in their roles.
The ideal candidate for this role would have:
Japanese Citizenship. Please note that we are not able to sponsor visas for this role.
Solid background and experience in Workplace or Facilities Management;
Demonstrable financial and data literacy experience including budget management;
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Great organisation, multitasking and problem-solving skills;
Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to think ‘big picture’.
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
Proficiency in Figma, Canva, Jira management tools;
Passion and understanding of entrepreneurial, start-up or tech communities.

Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
We expect new joiners in the office most days to build connections and learn from colleagues for their first six months. After that, most Wisers split their working week between the office and home, typically coming in at least 12 times a month.
