Job Description:
The Industrial Rehabilitation-Case Coordinator serves as a liaison between the treatment team, employer, third party payers and patients to ensure coordination of all occupational health services for optimal care. The incumbent is responsible for payment verification for services and treatment offered to all patients.Essential Functions
- Coordinates the industrial injury program, including physician communication, therapies, evaluations and return to work issues. Coordinates treatment plan with insurance case managers, employers and third party payers.
- Performs pre-authorization of all services for patients. Distribute reports to insurance companies, physicians and employers. Provides appropriate feedback to referring physicians, employers and insurance companies.
- Coordinates with insurance/company/physician the review of patient treatment plans.
- Updates accurately the patient demographic and insurance information including review of all injury and treatment information on patient.
- Inputs payments from patient and insurance companies and bills secondary insurance as contracted. Makes chart copies as per requested by insurance/physicians/patients. Prepares and balances daily and monthly bank deposits.
- Runs patient orders tracking on a daily basis to identify missed injury orders. Faxes and mails out medical records.
- Manages injured patient cases working with insurance companies and the patient.
- Migrates companies' information to client database with initial injuries with work-off restrictions. Enters claim request information Verify billing and company information.

Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated occupational health/case management experience.
- Negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of insurance reimbursement, third party payers, and financial resource negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of occupational health/case management experience.
- Professional education in physical rehabilitation field.
- Licensure in physical rehabilitation field.
- Experience working in a WorkMed clinic

- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
