The Workload Planning & Analytics Specialist resides within the Outsourcing and Efficiency Drive group within the Vehicle Economic Management Office. The position supports cross‑functional engineering and program teams by consolidating current‑year workload inputs and forecasting future‑year demands. The role ensures clear visibility for leadership, enabling accurate workforce planning, informed decisions, and alignment across all functions.
Acting as the central coordination point between engineering teams, planning managers, program leadership, and allocation committees, this role drives accurate and timely FTE planning. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and skilled at managing fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environments while ensuring data accuracy and seamless communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for workload planning activities across assigned functions and programs for the current year and the next three‑year planning horizon
- Collect and consolidate FTE allocation inputs from Function Leads, Planning Managers, CVEs, and Program Managers
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across modules and tech centers
- Ensure alignment between AIRFLOW, RD3C‑provided FTE budgets, and consolidated program requirements across forecast cycles (F0, F1, F2)
- Prepare consolidated reports for leadership, including tech center–wise and function-wise FTE allocation and project-specific summaries
- Track changes across planning cycles and maintain full traceability of updates
- Facilitate discussions to resolve discrepancies in workload inputs or resource needs
- Communicate risks, gaps, and required actions to ensure timely preparation and alignment
- Identify delays, inconsistencies, or misalignments in workload submissions and escalate proactively to leadership or planning teams
- Propose and implement data‑management and automation solutions to improve data preparation efficiency and support dynamic inputs
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce planning, program coordination, engineering planning, or similar roles
