About the role.
McCain Foods is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern or working student to join our sales and Trade Marketing team. This position offers the opportunity to support key functions in day-to-day operations while managing your own projects in the German and Austrian markets. As an intern or working student, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of category management, trade marketing, and project management.
The duration of the internship or working student role is a minimum of 5 months. This role will be based at our Eschborn office and offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic, global organization.
Key responsibilities:
As a Trade Marketing Intern or Working Student, you will:

• Actively support the Category Management & Trade Marketing team in day-to-day operations across the German and Austrian markets
• Independently manage and execute promotional activities, couponing, sales folders, samples, POS materials, and events
• Assist in organizing tastings at the point of sale (POS)
• Collaborate with external agencies, service providers, and internal sales and marketing teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Analyze market trends and prepare reports to help inform strategic decisions
• Provide administrative support to the Sales Director and contribute to key projects
• Applicants must have a fluent level of German (C1 or higher) and at least an intermediate level of English (minimum B1).

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
• Previous practical experience through internships or working student roles, ideally in the consumer goods or marketing industry
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a keen interest in Trade marketing and category management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Creative and enthusiastic, with a proactive, independent approach to tasks
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Canva)
