The Solution

Our company enables customers to build, deploy, and manage location-based applications on our cloud infrastructure. With powerful abstractions, state-of-the-art building blocks, and cutting-edge cloud technologies, our map making platform allows customers to ingest, store, share, and analyze location data in real-time. Data can be combined, enriched, and shared among platform members, unlocking even greater potential.

Our tech stack includes Scala, Java, Lua, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Cassandra, Postgres, Redis, Gitlab and Terraform.

As a Working Student, you will be embedded in a cross-functional engineering team working on mission-critical backend services:

• Support the development and maintenance of backend services for map and data infrastructure

• Gain exposure to production-grade cloud environments and CI/CD workflows

• Assist in testing, documentation, and automation tasks

• Collaborate with engineers on system design, service integration, and bug fixing

• Participate in code reviews and internal knowledge sharing

• Get hands-on experience in real-world software development, following best practices

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

• Basic backend development experience (e.g., Java or Scala)

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and networking fundamentals

• Understanding of software testing principles (Unit, Integration, etc.)

• Interest in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Strong problem-solving and software design skills

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.

• Exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

• Familiarity with distributed systems or cloud-based architectures

• Interest in Big Data tools (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka, Presto)

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
