About the opportunity

The Workforce Planning and Insights Manager reports to the Senior Manager - Workforce Planning and Insights. The position is responsible for supporting workforce outcomes through strategic workforce planning activities and analysing data to develop evidence-based workforce strategies. The role will assist with establishing and embedding workforce planning frameworks, conducting research and people analytics projects and will provide tactical support in the execution and monitoring of these initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • workforce planning: support the development and execution of workforce planning strategies to optimise resource allocation, enhance operational efficiency, and align organisational objectives and strategy
  • data analytics: utilise advanced analytical tools and statistical techniques to gather, interpret, and present workforce data insights
  • forecasting and modelling: develop forecasting models and scenario analysis to anticipate future workforce trends, identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • performance measurement: conduct benchmarking and establish performance metrics and KPIs to assess workforce effectiveness and monitor key trends
  • stakeholder collaboration: collaborate cross-functionally with HR, finance, operations, and senior management to integrate workforce analytics into business planning processes
  • communication: communicate findings and insights, internal and external to HR, in a clear and compelling manner. This includes supporting the development of executive briefing papers, dashboards, and reports.

About you

  • academic qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
  • significant experience in workforce analytics and insights, and strategic workforce planning (or similar)
  • experience in data analysis, dashboarding and analytical report writing and presenting to senior management in an organisation
  • proven experience in large, complex organisations or in a consulting capacity and working across multiple projects
  • proven knowledge of HR principles and practices, including experience in interpreting legislation and applying employment frameworks, legislation and regulations.
