Job SummaryThis six-month temporary contract role is a member of the Global Organizational Effectiveness team, which is part of the HR function at Iron Mountain. The team is responsible for providing expertise and support in three areas: Strategic Workforce Planning, Organization Design and HR Data & Analytics. The impact of the OE team is to partner with our business leaders and HRBPs to:
‘Future proof’ our organization by proactively identifying future demand for talent and skills, analyze talent supply (internal and external) for those skills, conduct demand/supply gap analysis, and develop plans to remediate gaps.
Build and sustain a ‘healthy’ organization that is effective - with the right roles to enable key business capabilities and efficient - optimal spans and layers; clarity in accountabilities and minimal duplication.
Equip business leaders with relevant, accurate and timely HR data so they can make informed people and organization decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Workforce Planning
Own and maintain the workforce planning (WFP) process, tools, templates and governance
Act as the super user for the WFP model, refreshing and maintaining the model and dashboard
Identify and report on workforce gaps, trends, risks and opportunities globally
Partner with HR Technology team to maintain workforce data standards and definitions
Support Organization Effectiveness (OE) consultants, HRBPs and Finance planning partners to develop multi-year headcount forecasts
Look for continuous improvement opportunities
Data & Analytics
Act as the super user for our HR metrics dashboard in Looker Studio
Provide regular insights to HRBPs and OE consultants, monitor trends and identify areas for improvement
Perform deep-dive analysis using Workday reports, based on the “hot spot” areas identified in Looker Studio dashboards
Collaborate with people analytics team to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the dashboards in Looker Studio and its connection to the Workday data source
Support OE consultants in ad hoc analytics requests
Translate data sets into “so-what” insights for HRBPs and business unit leaders
Central accountability to track the status and progress of hotspots and action items across all account teams
Look for process improvement opportunities including use of AI to improve and streamline the KPI tracking and reporting process
Organization Design
Support OE consultants with org design work, including:
Current state assessments
Future state org design - operating models, org structures, job descriptions
Talent and financials tracking
Implementation planning
Project management
Look for process improvement opportunities to automate and streamline
Keep templates and tools updated and continuously look to improve them based on external best practices and lessons learned from internal projects
Skills, knowledge & experience:
Previous experience in a Big 4 consultancy or Consulting Strategy firm preferred
Advanced use of Excel / Google sheets, including expertise in formulas and data manipulation. Experience using Workday and Looker studio is desired
Experience in analyzing and understanding HR related data and ability to turn data into actionable insights
Skilled in visual representation of data including strong presentation and formatting skills
Experience in workforce planning including gap analysis and headcount planning
Strong understanding of how org design feeds into long-term financial planning
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across a range of stakeholders (Finance and planning, HR people analytics, HRBPs, Organization effectiveness consultants, Transformation consultants)
Experience improving performance through more efficient processes or technology
Flexible, adaptable and highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive attitude
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics or a related field is preferred
