The Manager of Workforce Optimization is responsible for leading workforce planning and labor optimization initiatives that support operational excellence, financial performance, and workforce effectiveness. This role serves as a key partner to Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Revenue Management to develop and execute workforce strategies that align labor investments with business objectives.
The Manager will lead complex workforce planning workstreams, provide leadership and development to Workforce Optimization analysts, drive the adoption of workforce planning methodologies, performance management frameworks, and data-driven decision making. This role will also directly support 15-20 bases as well as lead a team. This role bridges strategic workforce planning with operational execution by translating business challenges into actionable workforce solutions and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities(Other duties may be assigned)
Lead workforce planning, forecasting, capacity modeling, and labor optimization initiatives across multiple FBO locations.
Manage and develop Workforce Optimization team members through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and career development activities.
Partner with field leadership to develop labor strategies, hiring plans, staffing recommendations, schedule optimization solutions, and labor cost management initiatives.
Oversee workforce modeling processes and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and practical application of labor planning methodologies.
Directly support 15-20 bases for their labor strategy, execution, and planning functions.
Translate workforce, operational, and financial data into actionable recommendations for leaders at all levels of the organization.
Monitor workforce performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity, labor utilization, service delivery, and cost efficiency.
Drive implementation of workforce management initiatives and support organizational change efforts related to labor planning and workforce effectiveness.
Lead cross-functional projects involving Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Management, and Continuous Improvement teams.
Develop and deliver presentations, business reviews, and executive-ready recommendations that clearly communicate workforce trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.
Identify and eliminate barriers to execution through process improvement, automation, and innovative workforce solutions.
Provide leadership for enterprise workforce planning initiatives while ensuring successful execution of operational priorities at the field level.
Serve as a subject matter expert on workforce optimization principles, labor performance management, and workforce planning best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in workforce planning, labor management, capacity planning, forecasting, operational analytics, finance, or related analytical disciplines.
1-3 years of experience leading projects, workstreams, or direct reports in a professional environment.
Demonstrated experience developing workforce strategies and translating analytical insights into business decisions.
Proven ability to influence leaders across multiple functional areas through data-driven recommendations.
Experience supporting operational leaders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership audiences.
Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
