To implement and manage people, systems and processes as well as provide expert staffing and scheduling support to the Operating Region and team to improve staff productivity measurements within the region.As a Workforce Manager you will implement and manage the staffing, scheduling and operational processes. Your role will involve providing expert support to optimise workforce efficiency and productivity within the region. You will analyse performance metrics, identify areas for improvement and ensure that resources are effectively allocated to meet operational needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall service delivery and drive strategic initiatives.
Minimum requirements:
Diploma or degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Finance, or a related field
3-5 years' workforce management/planning experience within retail or high staff volume environments
Knowledge of the South African labour related legislations (i.e. Labour Relations Act 1995, Basic Conditions of Employment Act 1997, Sectorial Determination 9)
Proven analytical and business skills
Proficiency in workforce management systems (e.g. KRONOS, Genesys, CMS etc.) is essential
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Excellent presentation abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate complex information
Familiarity with the budgeting process, with the ability to provide insights and analysis for budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilise Multiple Systems
Leverage various computer applications and systems (e.g., KRONOS, SAP, MS Office) to create optimized staff schedules that align with wage budgets and business forecasts for all stores within the Omnichannel Division.
Monitoring and Analysis
Monitor, analyse and report on store KRONOS activity to ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
Evaluate ongoing labour costs and productivity performance, making recommendations for improvements.
Assess controllable staff costs, including leave balances, overtime, and expenditures on Sundays and public holidays.
Forecasting and Budget Management
Track recent forecast future trading volumes in collaboration with retail operations management, adjusting KRONOS budgets and forecasts to align with expected trading volumes and targeted wage expenditures.
Store Support
Oversee scheduling and timecard approval processes to support payroll accuracy and ensure timely payroll processing.
Provide responsive and professional support to stores by addressing scheduling payroll-related queries from stores, providing effective support and guidance as required.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Liaise with the regional management team to review store labor cost performance and adherence to policies, procedures, wage budgets, and planned schedules.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in stores and participate in the authorisation of recruitment efforts.
Conduct comprehensive store audits as necessary, compiling reports and discussing findings with relevant stakeholders.
Data Maintenance
Support the maintenance and system data update between SAP and KRONOS, coordinating any necessary system upgrades for KRONOS.
Capability Building
Identify scheduling capability gaps within store management teams and deliver focused upskilling sessions to build regional capacity, improve workforce planning and drive scheduling efficiency.
