POSITION SUMMARY:
The Workforce Development Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the delivery of vocational services within WestCare Residential Programs. This position ensures that employment-focused programming is implemented effectively, aligns with contractual and regulatory requirements, and supports positive client outcomes. The Workforce Supervisor reports to the Regional Vice President as needed and provides ongoing updates, performance data, and program recommendations. Additionally, this role serves as a representative of WestCare in community meetings, partnerships, and stakeholder engagements, strengthening external relationships and advancing workforce development opportunities for program participants.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Interview, hire, and onboard residential employment staff, in consultation with the Program Director, Regional Vice President, Human Resources, and other relevant personnel.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to employment staff, promoting a positive and productive team environment.
- Develop staff schedules and assign daily responsibilities to maintain adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Conduct performance evaluations for employment staff and provide recommendations to the Regional Vice President regarding advancement and retention.
- Responsible for overseeing training, supervision, and scheduling of all employment staff and volunteers at site.
- Responsible for monitoring and assisting with all aspects of employment services for all clients.
- Responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and monitoring the interactions and responsibilities of the mentors and staff.
- Responsible for direct supervision of all employment staff and veteran mentor volunteers.
- Provide quality assurance reviews as requested.
- Write and submit required reports and/or provide appropriate data as required by the project grant and as assigned.
- Responsible for facility compliance with health, fire and other regulatory standards.
- Acts as WestCare GulfCoast Florida representative/liaison with other agencies regarding all Client/Service issues.
- Attend regular professional education classes/workshops to continuously upgrade job skills or promote the image of the agency
- Respond to all emergency situations that would necessitate the Workforce Development Supervisor’s intervention.
- Assist with coordinating staff and mentor’s schedules and activities.
- Assist other WestCare GulfCoast Florida staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years recent management or supervisory experience.
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, childhood education, education counseling and/or similar course of study; or comparable years of qualifying experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed primarily in professional, office setting.
- Regular attendance is required. Working overtime may be required and essential to perform job duties at times.

Skills Required
