Job Summary:
The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on key metrics related to finance and HR, as well as creating insightful and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI. They analyze, interpret data, identify trends, and provide valuable insights that support employee, department, and company goals and strategies. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and Engineering, they gain a deep understanding of our key business metrics that align with company and department objectives. Successful candidates will have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion, while maintaining a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains standard reports using data from multiple sources.
Analyzes financial, HR, and operational efficiency data to identify areas of improvement and provides insights to stakeholders.
Creates meaningful visualizations and dashboards to drive informed decision-making utilizing tools such as Power BI, Excel and SQL.
Assists with data validation, testing, and reporting to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Conducts regular audits to ensure data integrity and security.
Communicates findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Extracts and manipulates data from various systems and databases as needed.
Identifies relationships and trends in data to uncover insightful findings and perform root cause analysis.
Identifies data gaps and develops methods and processes to gather missing data, working closely with various business stakeholders.
Owns the end-to-end process of data gathering, tracking, quality checks, monitoring, and reporting.
Required Skills:
Strong background in financial and HR metrics analysis (e.g. Revenue, Gross Margin, Attrition, CSAT, NPS, ESS, Sales targets, etc).
Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivot tables, xlookup, vlookup, complex formulas, etc).
Experience working with complex data sets and relational databases.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends and insights.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.
Ability to excel in a highly matrixed organization.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience in financial and human resources metric analysis and Power BI dashboard reporting.
