The Workflow Development Specialist – GenMed APAC for Cytiva is responsible for following the molecules from pre-clinical to commercialization providing expert workflow knowledge to optimise customer processes across their workflow. Ultimately the focus is to identify, win design-in by proactively identifying and qualifying opportunities, positioning Danaher technologies and capabilities, and working closely with technical specialists and Account Manager for assigned territories.

This position is part of the Gen Med Commercial Organization located in APAC and will be remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Achieve design-in targets by seeding and collaborating with cross functional teams to implement portfolio by workflows.

  • Collaborate with regional Workflow Development Leader, Sales Specialists, and Field Application Specialists to provide in-depth workflow and technical customer support when appropriate.

  • Builds deep customer relationships with technical & modality relevant stakeholders through effective communication, aligning and meeting expectations, seeking insights, and demonstrating deep customer and market knowledge which helps them to achieve their targeted outcomes.

  • Through critical insight on Genomic Medicine customer processes, drive and support the team to formulate strategies to develop and implement solutions that meet or exceed customers’ needs and expand business by gaining market share in existing and new accounts.

  • Consult and gain credibility with customers to propose business solutions when moving from research to clinical to marketed applications and to provide feedback to the wider commercial teams on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings.

Who you are:

  • BSc in biotechnology, biomedical sciences, life sciences or equivalent field with at least 3 years of industry or academic research experience, or Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant science/engineering field of studies with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in application sciences

  • Strong experience in end-to-end solution in gene therapy, cell therapy and biologics.

  • Strong team player and preferably with some leadership qualities, success working across functionally with various teams and possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in English verbal and written communication, and proficient in another language in verbal and written communication is desirable

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter to achieve defined individual and team goals

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Product sales support in advance therapeutic medicinal product market space with strong understanding of process workflow.

  • Sales and application knowledge specifically in viral vector, nucleic acid, in-vivo and ex-vivo therapeutic product classes.
