The Workers’ Compensation Administrator is responsible for managing and administering Goodwill’s workers’ compensation program, ensuring timely reporting, regulatory compliance, effective case management, and strong communication with employees, supervisors, medical providers, and insurance partners. This role supports injury prevention efforts and contributes to a safe and supportive workplace. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Claims Administration 

  • Process, record, and investigate all workers’ compensation claims in accordance with state and federal regulations.  

  • Submit required documentation to carriers, OSHA, state agencies, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Maintain accurate claim files, medical reports, and case notes. 

Case Management & Communication 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees, supervisors, insurance representatives, medical providers, and attorneys.  

  • Provide timely updates on claim status, hearings, restrictions, and return to work plans. 

  • Coordinate modified duty and return to work programs. 

Compliance & Reporting 

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Florida workers’ compensation statutes, and internal policies. 

  • Prepare OSHA logs, trend reports, and internal safety dashboards. 

  • Identify patterns in injuries and recommend prevention strategies. 

Safety & Prevention Support 

  • Collaborate with Safety and HR teams on injury prevention initiatives. 

  • Assist with accommodations and workplace adjustments as needed. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, Business, Safety, or related field).  

  • 1–3 years of workers’ compensation, claims, HR, or safety experience preferred. 

  • Strong knowledge of Florida workers’ compensation laws and OSHA reporting. 

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and follow up skills. 

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
