Trueline is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to lead a practice in Columbia, SC. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for a self-driven litigator with at least two years of experience—and ideally a partial book of business—to help expand the firm’s South Carolina footprint.
What You’ll Do as the Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney:
- Represent employers and insurers in all stages of workers’ comp claims
- Handle hearings, depositions, mediations, and appeals independently
- Draft motions, legal memoranda, and client-facing reports
- Collaborate with partners in other offices to drive business development
- Act as the point person for the Columbia office with autonomy and leadership
Must-Haves as the Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice in South Carolina
- At least 2 years of experience in workers’ comp defense or related litigation
- Ability to work independently and manage a growing caseload
- Strong interest in business development and client cultivation
Nice-to-Haves as the Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney:
- Dual bar admission in South Carolina and North Carolina
- Existing or partial book of business
- Comfort operating as the lead attorney in a smaller office environment
- Willingness to collaborate with remote partners on strategic growth
This Role Offers:
- Base salary from $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and book
- Bonuses tied to billables and/or revenue generated, with no hard cap
