Park Nicollet is seeking a Workers Compensation Coordinator. Under the direction of the Director of Employee Health Services, this position is responsible for the following key functions: overseeing the daily management of the workers’ compensation program, including coordination with external agencies and Regions Hospital employees; managing the annual renewal of workers’ compensation insurance policies; facilitating effective communication within the department and with other hospital departments; organizing and maintaining department files and resource materials; and supporting collaboration with internal departments and external partners as related to the workers’ compensation program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Three years of experience in the healthcare field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone and in written communication.
- Ability to establish working relationships with leaders, staff, outside agencies, the public and physicians.
- Knowledge of OSHA and work comp related standards.
Ability to analyze complex claims data
Experience with Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- (100%) - Manages the internal work comp program system wide
- Reviews and evaluates potential claims submitted to the TPA.
- Reviews and submits work comp bills for payment.
- Administers enterprise wide all work comp recordkeeping and reporting requirements for WCRA, Department of Labor and Industry and the Department of Commerce.
- Investigates all injuries to review for trends and potential system issues.
- Coordinates communication between injured workers, leader, Occupational Medicine, Well@Work and our TPA.
- Develops policies, procedures and forms for proper administration of all workers compensation claims per the State of Minnesota and Federal Government.
- Accountable for monthly reporting to Environment of Care on trends and data for work comp issues.
- Manages the Return-to-Work program. Develops and manages modified light duty work program to return employees to work as soon as possible.
- Monitors work comp enterprise payroll and personnel transactions weekly.
- Develops and maintains office procedures that will ensure effective internal communications, maintain a steady workflow and ensure the efficient processing of a large volume of paperwork.
Coordinates and maintains policies on Compliance 360 that are related to the workers’ compensation program.
Special projects as assigned.
- Participates in projects as assigned by the Director of Employee Health Services.
