About the role  

The Workday Systems Specialist plays a key role in supporting HammondCare’s Mission and Mission in Action by maximising the value and effectiveness of the organisation’s HR systems investment.

This position is responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and optimisation of the Workday platform, including its full suite of modules. The successful candidate will maintain Workday HCM accreditation and provide expert system support, helping to ensure the platform meets business needs and delivers a positive user experience across the organisation.

About You  
  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.

  • 3+ years’ experience working within a HR or IT function in HR systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience across Workday Core HCM, Core Compensation, Absence, Recruiting.

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well and problem-solve within team.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related area.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.

  • Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely.

  • BAU/Project business improvement delivery experience.

  • Experience across Workday’s full HCM suite (Desirable).

  • Experience in the Aged Care, Health Sector or Non-profit organisation (Desirable).

  • Previous experience in business partnering or consulting on Workday HCM (Desirable).

  • Business analysis skills such as running discovery workshops, eliciting requirements, mapping/mining business processes, writing test scripts, system testing, training users and preparing project and training documentation (Desirable).
