Position Summary:
We are seeking a technically proficient Workday Software Administrator to join our IT department and take ownership of the configuration, integration, and administration of our Workday HCM environment. This role will focus on system-level functionality including integrations, access control, and user account management, with additional responsibilities in supporting HR and payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday administration, strong knowledge of enterprise system integrations, and the ability to act as a technical liaison between IT and HR.
Key Responsibilities:
System & Integration Management
- Administer and maintain key Workday integrations, including:
- DOMO interface (data and analytics reporting)
- Tekion interface (automotive enterprise platform)
- Benefits
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration issues using Workday Studio, EIB, or Core Connectors.
- Partner with HR and external vendors to ensure data flows and system performance meet business needs.
Authentication & Security Management
- Manage Workday authentication settings including password policies, SSO (Single Sign-On), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Maintain security roles, domain permissions, and business process security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Conduct regular security audits and participate in compliance initiatives related to Workday access and usage.
User & Account Administration
- Oversee Workday user provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
- Manage role-based access controls and organizational structures within Workday.
- Ensure accurate account lifecycle management in coordination with HR and IT operations.
Cross-Functional Support & Business Continuity
- Provide technical backup for HR Director and Payroll, including support during payroll runs and HR process execution.
- Participate in testing and rollout of Workday feature releases and configuration changes.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure and application teams to ensure uptime, performance, and backup/recovery processes are in place for Workday.
Documentation & Training
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for integrations, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Support IT-led training efforts by preparing user guides and offering technical expertise to HR and other business units.
- Maintain a runbook for key Workday support and recovery tasks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in Workday system administration or a similar enterprise HRIS role.
- Strong understanding of Workday integrations and tools (e.g., EIB, Studio, Core Connectors).
- Proven experience managing authentication, user access, and data security in an enterprise environment.
- Solid troubleshooting and system monitoring skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with third-party tools
- Background in IT system administration or enterprise application support.
- Familiarity with HR and payroll processes is a plus but not required.

- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and data integrity.
