About Us
Concord isn't your typical consulting firm; we are an execution company with a passion for making things happen. Our mission is to help clients enhance customer experiences, optimize operations, and revolutionize their product offerings through seamless integration, optimization, and activation of technology and data.
We are purpose-built, merging the industry’s top specialty companies to amplify our Innovation Capabilities in analytics & AI, data management & engineering, UX and digital experience, and technical platform integration, automation & security engineering.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to support and maintain a legacy PowerBuilder application while actively contributing to a strategic migration initiative. This is a contract engagement with an initial period of ramp-up as the developer familiarizes themselves with a codebase that has been in a stable, low-change state for over a year.
The successful candidate will split their time between maintaining the existing PowerBuilder system and performing broader SQL development work, with a longer-term focus on planning and executing migration off PowerBuilder.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support QA efforts across two implementation waves, including LMS, Employee Voice (Peakon), Advanced Compensation, People Analytics, Succession Planning, and Talent Reviews.
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites for Workday modules and integrations.
- Validate inbound and outbound integrations, primarily through standard Workday connectors, as well as select integrations leveraging Informatica for Snowflake-based data flows.
- Perform end-to-end integration testing, including:
- Data mapping and transformation validation
- Error handling and reconciliation
- Payload, report, and downstream data accuracy checks
- Test integrations built using native Workday tools (Workday Studio, EIB, PECI/PICOF, and Core Connectors).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution in close coordination with functional and technical teams.
- Partner with implementation teams, data/integration teams, and business stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage across all go-live milestones.
- Support UAT cycles, including defect triage, retesting, and preparation of sign-off documentation ahead of each wave deployment.
Experience and Skills
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years focused on Workday implementations or post-production support.
- Hands-on experience testing Workday integrations, including:
- Standard / Core Connectors
- Native tools (Workday Studio, EIB, PECI/PICOF)
- Experience validating data flows involving external platforms (e.g., Snowflake), including file-based or ETL-supported integrations.
- Familiarity with or exposure to Informatica for data integration and transformation testing (QA focus; development experience not required).
- Experience testing Workday HCM modules such as LMS, Compensation, Talent, Succession Planning, or People Analytics (strong plus).
- Experience working in Agile, phased, or wave-based implementation environments.
- Strong documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Technically fluent but able to communicate clearly in business terms.
- Collaborative team player who builds alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Self-directed with strong ownership mentality — able to manage priorities and deliver in a fast-moving environment.
