Global Workday Project Manager
Job Summary
The Workday Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday implementations, optimizations, and upgrades. This role involves aligning cross- functional teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, while maintaining a global unifying vision. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project goals, and coordinate resources to achieve these goals.
The individual in this role will be both technically savvy and adept at managing relationships with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization, including HR Technology, internal global Centers of Excellence (COE) to effectively execute on the global Workday strategy.
As part of the Global Workday Configuration and Operations team this role is responsible for upholding Workday system and process integrity and integrating with other functions to optimally leverage Workday capabilities and effectively enable business processes.
Responsibilities
- Establish ownership of managing the organizations Workday change request framework
- Stay informed of the Workday roadmap and provide inputs into GPC’s Workday roadmap.
- Be an active participant in the Workday Community and advocate for GPC business needs.
- Management and coordination of bi-annual Workday releases partnering stakeholders with required or optional functionality to deliver a seamless release experience.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Coordinate resources, tasks, and milestones to ensure timely project completion.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with Stakeholders to turn broad requirements into recommended solutions and deliverables.
- Document requirements and technical specifications to support our solution landscape and HR organizational needs for systems implementation, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Develop project plans using data gathered, constraints, and probable consequences. Ensure adherence to project schedule and other specifications.
- Manage project deliverables and milestones and specified project tasks.
- Work directly with stakeholders to identify, analyze, design, test, and implement innovative solutions or improvements to existing solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level projects, preferably in Human Resources
- 3+ years of experience specifically in Workday HCM implementations, phase X deployments or post product support.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prioritizes and manages multiple initiatives, responding with a sense of urgency to most urgent needs.
- Exchanges information with appropriate people to complete work, follows through on tasks and commitments and keeps information confidential, as warranted.
- Participates as part of a team, becoming familiar with the various working styles of others and their roles on the team; demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the goals and objectives of the team.
- Ability to influence the work efforts of others, manage own time and team’s time and workload.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in human resources, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration
- Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications preferred.
- Experience establishing, educating, and continuous improvement of sprint methodology in a global organization.
