Minimum 4+ years integration development experience including hands-on Workday integration build
Experience delivering integrations on at least one full lifecycle Workday implementation
Hands-on experience with EIB and Core Connectors, with exposure to Workday Studio
Working knowledge of Workday web services and custom reports as integration data sources
Exposure to Public Sector, Government or regulated environments desirable
The Workday Integration Consultant builds, tests and deploys integrations under the direction of the Integration Lead, taking hands-on ownership of assigned interfaces from specification through to deployment and support handover. The role works to the integration standards, patterns and security model defined for the programme.
Build, test and deploy integrations using EIB, Core Connectors and Document Transformation
Develop Workday Studio integrations for more complex requirements
Produce and maintain integration design documents and technical specifications for assigned interfaces
Build custom reports and RaaS data sources to support integrations
Configure integration security including ISU and ISSG assignments as directed
Execute unit and system integration testing, logging, resolving and retesting defects
Support vendor file format testing and troubleshooting of third-party connectivity
Implement error handling, notifications and monitoring in line with programme standards
Support integration migration between tenants and cutover activities
Maintain integration documentation and support runbooks for handover to BAU
Escalate design risks, blockers and vendor issues to the Integration Lead
Hands-on build skills in EIB, Core Connectors and Document Transformation
Workday Studio development experience
Strong XML, XSLT, XPath and JSON skills
Workday web services (SOAP and REST), RaaS and calculated fields
Working knowledge of the Workday data model and security model including ISU and ISSG
Secure connectivity including SFTP, PGP and certificate-based authentication
Debugging, error handling and performance troubleshooting of integrations
Clear technical documentation and adherence to code review standards
Ability to work within defined technical standards set by the Integration Lead
Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors and Document Transformation
Workday web services (SOAP and REST), RaaS and calculated fields
XML, XSLT, XPath and JSON, with Java or Groovy desirable
Workday security model, ISU and ISSG configuration
SFTP, PGP and x509 certificates
Middleware or iPaaS exposure such as MuleSoft, Boomi or Azure Integration Services (desirable)
Jira or Azure DevOps and Git-based version control
Workday Integration Certification - Core Connectors and/or Studio (active, previously held or working towards)
Workday Pro Integrations (desirable)
Workday HCM or Financials Certification (desirable)
