Pay Range
$44.15 - $66.25Primary focus of role will be responsible for Workday Security for all HR modules, with some additional work in configuration, maintenance and optimization of HR modules.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 5 years of technical experience in human resources systems which includes experiences in human capital management implementations and systems modules such as benefits, compensation, recruiting, performance management, learning management, succession planning, help desk/service center and human resources analytics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Strong and broad functional knowledge of benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, talent management and organization development functions/processes to accomplish human resources applications objectives.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and highly experienced in researching, designing and implementing solutions and maintaining/upgrading systems.
Comprehensive understanding of how various ERP (enterprise resource planning) HR modules interact and affect one another.
Demonstrated ERP business process configuration experience.
Strong experience in researching configuration issues, designing and implementing solutions and maintaining/upgrading systems. High critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to effectively solve problems and propose sound solutions.
Advanced hands-on knowledge/experience in creating and executing EIBs to manage system data.
Advanced knowledge of web-based/cloud ERP systems to support human resources. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and large-scale automated systems. Expertise in preparing, importing and manipulating data in spreadsheets/databases and other HR technology tools.
Excellent analytical skills to make sound decisions/recommendations based on analysis and user needs to ensure maximum productivity and continuous process improvement. Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use ERP systems to create/maintain custom reports, calculated fields and ability to design visual data-driven solutions in support of analytics in human resources.
Maintain general understanding of ERP security model.
Translates business objectives into system requirements to optimize processes, improve efficiency and improve the user experience with the system.
Participates in various HR projects to provide technical HR system support.
Ensures security, end-user access, and data integrity across all HR platforms.
Skills in developing project plans/timelines, implementing tasks, evaluating outcomes and coordinating work of teams.
Ability to identify and resolve technical and workflow issues related to technology and business operations.
Ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment, handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently with little to no guidance/supervision, make decisions and move projects or changes forward.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively and address difficult issues with employees and management.
Requires strong understanding of Workday functionality, modules and configuration in various HR modules.
Role will work individually and with a team providing subject matter expertise and hands-on Workday configuration during implementation, upgrades, optimization projects, and production.
Provide technical support, research, troubleshoot and timely resolution of issues.
Adhere to and encourage the organizational methodology for change control issue resolution and process documentation. Develop, test, and deploy security and reports to meet functional requirements.
Perform system setup and user security provisioning. Implement business process policy changes in Workday in coordination with SMEs. Advise other Workday leads on the security impact of BP and configuration changes, introduction of new data sources, and deprecation of existing data sources.
Configure business process policies to meet business needs, finding solutions to automate and streamline processes, creating dashboards, and managing projects using agile methodology.
Manage user roles and permissions to ensure that employees have the appropriate access to Workday features based on their job responsibilities. This prevents unauthorized access and protects sensitive data.
Maintain Workday ticketing system.
Help ensure data accuracy by validating security settings and conducting checks for data integrity. Any issues identified must be addressed proactively to maintain system reliability.
Assist and coordinate with the evaluation, quality reviews and testing documentation of the system upgrades, new feature releases and implementation.
Conduct regular audits of user access and security configurations to identify any discrepancies or vulnerabilities. This ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
Stay current on Workday updates and implement new security features as they become available. This involves continuously reviewing and optimizing security settings to reflect best practices and organizational changes.
Provide training for end-users and stakeholders on security protocols and best practices. This helps to ensure that all users understand their roles in maintaining security and compliance.
Workday Security experience required.
Workday Reporting experience preferred.
Major Responsibilities:
Leads and provides advanced operational and technical system support. Works with internal customers and information technology to troubleshoot and resolve complex system problems, which includes research, documentation, and communication of issues.
Evaluates current system configuration and responds to requests or inquiries on system capabilities. Gathers and analyzes information to understand business requirements and workflow processes to align human capital technology to meet business needs. Identifies areas of improvement, recommends, develops, and configures system solutions, tests new functionality, and ensures successful implementation of new and improved solutions.
Creates functional specifications based upon business requirements. Ensures alignment functionality with best practices, business processes, and procedures. Maintains appropriate security of the system based on business needs.
Coordinates and participates in system upgrades and system testing to ensure functionality and security are working as expected/designed. Creates detailed test plans, defines various scenarios and executes test plans. Coordinates user acceptance testing and other testing with appropriate groups.
Develops, implements, and evaluates complex human resources systems project specifications and timelines which include participation in system design, configuration, conversion, testing, process definition, issue identification and resolution. Maintains system tables and configures the system to meet business requirements. Ensures project timelines are adhered to and efficiently identifies potential issues to ensure project success.
Designs and maintains system modules to meet user needs, proactively anticipates business needs, and offers value-added recommendations.
Maintains ongoing system/data integrity to ensure accuracy, which includes running audits to identify and correct system/data integrity issues, proactively developing ways to improve processes/systems, making appropriate recommendations, and implementing changes.
Educates and trains human resources system users on system functionalities based on needs assessments. Evaluates training effectiveness and modifies training and programs accordingly.
Acts as a liaison between human resources, information systems, system users, and third-party vendors or consultants to articulate processes and procedures, define functional requirements/specifications, identify and resolve problems, perform system maintenance, implement project tasks, recommend improvements to system processes and maintain data integrations between systems.
Serves as a subject matter expert/resource on human resources technology related processes, procedures, features, and functionality.
Escalates issues/risks proactively to appropriate team members and leaders.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to work remotely. Must sit and walk the majority of the workday as well as stand, walk, lift, bend, twist, crawl, and kneel throughout. This position requires travel so will be exposed to weather and road conditions. Exposed to normal office environment. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
