Job Description:
Job Summary: The Workday Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of the Workday platform. This role serves as a first point of contact for internal customers, resolving trouble tickets, answering system questions, and completing routine configuration and data maintenance tasks. Working under the guidance of the HRIS Manager, the Workday Analyst ensures requests are handled accurately and on time, data integrity is maintained, and employees and managers receive responsive, service-oriented support. The role also supports other HR systems as needed and is expected to adapt as the company's HR technology changes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Workday Administration
Perform routine Workday administration tasks, including business process configuration changes, security role assignments, and organization and supervisory org maintenance.
Maintain and update worker data, job profiles, positions, locations, and other foundational data elements.
Monitor scheduled integrations and processes, escalating failures to HRIS Manager as needed.
Execute mass data loads (EIBs) for approved changes and validate results before and after load.
Provide administration and end-user support for other HRIS and HR-adjacent systems as needed, covering ticket resolution, routine configuration, data maintenance, and reporting.
Ticket Management & Internal Customer Support
Serve as a first-line point of contact for Workday trouble tickets submitted by employees, managers, and HR partners.
Triage, prioritize, and resolve incoming tickets within established service level expectations, escalating complex issues appropriately.
Troubleshoot user-reported issues such as business process errors, approval routing questions, access and security errors, and report discrepancies.
Document root cause and resolution steps in the ticketing system and communicate status updates clearly and professionally.
Follow up with requesters to confirm resolution and identify recurring issues for permanent fixes.
Data Integrity & Reporting
Run and distribute standard Workday reports for HR, Payroll, and business partners.
Build and modify simple custom reports and calculated fields as directed.
Perform routine audits of worker, position, and organization data and correct discrepancies.
Support compliance and audit requests by gathering system data and documentation.
Testing, Releases & Documentation
Assist with testing of Workday feature releases, configuration changes, and integration updates; document results and defects.
Maintain job aids, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures for internal customers.
Support end-user training by answering how-to questions and demonstrating self-service functionality.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and Finance teams to understand requests and deliver accurate solutions.
Identify opportunities to reduce ticket volume through configuration improvements, documentation, or user education.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and compensation data at all times.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
1+ years of experience supporting an HRIS, ERP, or enterprise business system; Workday experience preferred.
Experience working tickets in a help desk or service desk environment preferred.
Working knowledge of HR processes and data (hires, job changes, terminations, org structures) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
Certifications & Licenses
Workday Pro certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong internal customer service orientation with clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling employee data.
Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of requests and meet deadlines.
Analytical and troubleshooting skills sufficient to identify root cause of system and process issues.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Knowledge of computers sufficient to utilize email, spreadsheets, ticketing systems, Workday, and other systems as required.
