As a Workday Functional Senior Analyst, you’ll play a central role in shaping the digital experience for our people. You’ll be part of our People Technology team, a strategic group focused on creating an integrated, intuitive and human approach to HR systems. Your work will help colleagues access information easily, complete tasks with confidence and enjoy smoother interactions throughout their employee journey. This role gives you the chance to influence how thousands of people experience work at Bupa.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help design, build and refine our Workday platform so it supports colleagues and the business in the best way possible. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with teams across the business to understand their needs and translate them into clear, practical Workday solutions.
- Designing and delivering improvements that support continuous enhancement, operational efficiency and better employee experiences.
- Creating functional requirements and testing evidence before changes are deployed.
- Supporting the Continuous Improvement roadmap by identifying opportunities that make processes simpler and more intuitive.
- Partnering with Workday consultants and cross‑functional teams to shape system roadmaps and deliver meaningful improvements.
- Leading small Workday projects end‑to‑end, including requirement gathering, scoping, building, testing and deployment.
- Providing regular updates to stakeholders so they understand progress and next steps.
- Supporting release governance by ensuring all changes follow the People Technology release framework.
- Managing work items, tickets and updates with our AMS partner.
- Investigating functional solutions, handling queries and helping colleagues troubleshoot issues.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across the People function and wider business.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy problem‑solving, working collaboratively and using technology to make everyday experiences better. We’re looking for:
- A strong understanding of HR processes and how technology supports great employee experiences.
- Experience working with HR systems in a similar‑sized organisation.
- Workday experience is essential.
- Familiarity with HR legislation in the UK (and ideally in other countries Bupa operates in).
- An interest in how digital tools can simplify processes and improve the way people work.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently while building great relationships across teams.
- Curiosity, continuous learning and a willingness to explore new ideas.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering solutions that feel intuitive for the end user.
