The Workday Functional Sr Analyst participates in the strategic direction, optimization, and governance of the Finance Operations team within Finance. This role works with a team of analysts and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to align Workday capabilities with organizational goals. The analyst is responsible for helping driving process standardization with industry and Workday best standards, ensuring system integrity, and delivering scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
Essential Duties
Define and enforce consistent Workday processes and standards across the Finance Digital team, creating templates, workflows, and review checkpoints to reduce rework and improve delivery speed.
Oversee system governance, configuration standards, and change management processes.
Collaborate with and mentor a team of analysts, fostering professional development and high performance.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Finance Digital Team initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and PMO on roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution of Finance Digital Team projects.
Develop and deliver executive-level reporting and presentations on Finance Operations performance and initiatives.
Other duties as assigned; support additional initiatives and responsibilities as needed to advance organizational goals.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (required) BBA/BCOM or similar

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
Strong Workday Finance background and experience in one or more of the following areas: Foundational Data Model, Accounting, Business Assets and Budgets (Accounting Center & Prism Reporting), Supplier Invoices, Requisitions, and Purchase Orders (Pos), Supplier Accounts Module, Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Cycle, Banking & Settlement, Adaptive
Ability to analyze and document backend system information such as data mapping and microservice components.
Knowledge of defect tracking processes and tools
Strong knowledge of Workday product design
Experience with 3rd party and vendor relationships
Experience with structured and object-oriented analysis techniques
Proven experience in operational business process improvement
Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability
Good communication skills, both written and spoken
Ability to prioritize across many projects and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, motivation, and initiative
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of Workday experience working in a development/implementation environment
Three to five years of previous experience in financial applications and process (preferred)

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $81,900 - $139,700Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
