All about the role:
We are seeking highly skilled Workday Core HCM and Compensation Expert to join our dynamic HR Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and enhancing system processes across the Workday Human Capital Management platform.
You will collaborate with People (HR) Process teams, HR Operations on both global and regional levels, and other key stakeholders to ensure optimal system functionality and user experience. Additionally, you will work closely with the People Tech Product Owner for HCM Core and Compensation, Total Rewards team, as well as other Product Owners in People Tech who manage different modules of Workday (Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence, Recruitment, Reporting, Integrations). Your responsibilities will include collecting requirements with the Product Owner, designing and proposing solutions, building prototypes, conducting technical tests, and deploying to production.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with the People Tech Product Owner for Core HCM and Compensation, Total Rewards team, as well as other Product Owners in People Tech who manage different modules of Workday (Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence, Recruitment, Reporting, Integrations).
- Act as the main point of contact for the Product Owner, People Services & Solutions, and Total Rewards Teams, providing ongoing support, advice, and consultation on system capabilities and configuration
- Understand stakeholder needs, collect requirements with the Product Owner and translate them into functional solutions
- Design and propose solutions, build prototypes, conduct technical tests, and deploy to production.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Workday configurations within your scope.
- Participate in Scrum development sprints to ensure the timely delivery of enhancements.
- Coordinate with the AMS partner, who handles incident and bug resolution, and provide support by clarifying system configurations as needed.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
Who You Are?
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Workday, specifically Workday Core HCM and Compensation
- Experience with multi-country or global Workday deployments
- Ability to organize, track, and manage multiple moving parts with medium supervision.
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle and compensation processes.
- Good understanding of Workday Reporting and Security Administration
- Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Problem-solving attitude, proactive approach, and demonstrated initiative.
- Strong organizational skills, adept at managing requirements and prioritizing projects.
- Experience working in a large, dynamic, global organization is preferred.
- Ability to present technical information and processes to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with testing cycles and activities related to People system enhancements, changes, and upgrades.
- Experience working in Agile environments and ability to work effectively within a virtual team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Workday Core HCM and Compensation
- Experience leading multiple projects and driving self and others to deliver needed results within required deadlines.
- Experience with other Workday modules and knowledge of Workday integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors) will be a plus
