Responsibilities
The Word Processor types, corrects, finalizes, and files reports. Work is full time during the weekdays and some overtime may occasionally be required. Work is performed on site at the Bakersfield clinic. In general, successful maintenance of this position requires a high level of accuracy in producing reports. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm.
- Types patient conference summaries, monthly summaries, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, physiatrist reports, re-evaluations and other reports from rough drafts, e-mail, and re-edited reports.
- Consolidates emailed/typed reports from therapies & case management into proper format.
- Duplicates reports, letters and other documents using copying equipment.
- Participates in the rotation of administrative and clerical personnel to answer telephones during the Receptionist's absence.
Experience and Education
- Educational Background: High school graduation or G.E.D. required.
- Work Experience: Experience with transcribing dictation preferred. Typing 65 words per minute on word processor is preferred.
