Wonderful College Scholar Summer Internship, WCPA Human Resources

The Academy's first school opened in Delano in 2009, serving students from across the Central Valley in grades 6-12. In 2016, we moved to our new, state-of-the-art college prep campus in Delano, and in the Fall of 2017, added an elementary school in Delano and opened a second charter school in Lost Hills. In Delano, we serve over 1,800 students in grades TK-12, while in Lost Hills, we serve over 400 students in grades TK-12.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wonderful Scholar for full time 8-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on professional experience and learn how the department runs.

This position is based in Delano, CA, and begins June 12, 2026. The schedule for this internship is  

Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support in executing specialized employee engagement programs to support school culture and climate. 
• Assist in revising job descriptions and creating job roles.
• Assist in Human Resources clerical duties.
• Assist in the new onboarding of new hires.
• Assist in the creation of new employee files.
• Assist in filing employee documents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.50/Hour.

• Must be a Wonderful Scholar, active and eligible for the college success scholarship

• Must be 18 years of age and a junior or senior in college
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work autonomously 
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Livescan clearance
