Job Description

We are currently looking for a WMS specialist for our Delta, BC branch. The WMS specialist will provide training and support to warehouse staff on the effective use of the WMS, including system functionalities, best practices, and data accuracy. Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configuration guidelines.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Configure the system, set up parameters, define workflows, and create operational rules.
  • Perform system maintenance to ensure it is consistently updated and running smoothly.
  • Provide user training on the correct usage of the WMS system.
  • Analyze data from the system to identify trends and opportunities for improving warehouse performance.
  • Integrate the WMS with other systems, such as ERP or order management systems, to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Manage and maintain the WMS database to ensure its accuracy and functionality.
  • Delivering training for WMS systems, providing first-level support during go-live phases, and resolving help desk tickets.

Qualifications

  • Education in computer science, information systems, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience as a WMS Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong technical expertise in implementing and configuring Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficiency in WMS administration, including setup, user management, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations and processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for process improvements.
  • Familiarity with integration between WMS and other systems, such as ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and software providers.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to warehouse operations, such as safety regulations and product handling requirements.
  • Bilingual, English and French, English is primarily used, but French may occasionally be necessary.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is negotiable. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
