Role Overview:
- Lead and support WMS implementation and configuration projects
- Understand and analyze business, functional, and integration requirements to design appropriate WMS solutions.
- Configure core WMS modules (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns, Picking, Shipping, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to develop custom logic using client's configuration and extensibility tools.
- Support API testing using tools such as Postman and manage system integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, and MHE/automation systems.
- Write, review, and optimize SQL queries within relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders during SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live phases.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve functional and technical problems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain high-quality documentation, including technical designs, test plans, and configuration records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in WMS implementations or supply chain execution systems.
- Strong techno-functional background in any WMS platform.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and workflows (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, etc.).
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with API testing tools and system integrations.
- Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Experience integrating WMS with Goods-to-Person, AS/RS, or other automation technologies.
- Exposure to OMS, TMS, or EDI messaging standards.
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
- We are open to candidates from any WMS or supply chain background who demonstrate the right technical and functional mindset. Suitable candidates will receive client-specific training as part of their onboarding.
Months 1–2:
- Onboarding, deep dive into WMS platforms, familiarize with supply chain workflows, shadow implementation teams, review documentation and tools (SQL, API testing).
- Engage with clients for requirement gathering, analyze business processes, draft functional specifications, participate in Agile ceremonies, start basic configuration tasks.
- Lead configuration of core WMS modules (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory), collaborate on integrations (ERP, OMS, TMS), support SIT/UAT phases, begin troubleshooting and optimization.
- Drive end-to-end implementation for mid-sized projects, manage custom logic development, oversee API testing and database queries, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead strategic WMS deployments, mentor junior team members, refine integration strategies, provide roadmap inputs, deliver measurable outcomes (uptime, cost optimization), and support post-go-live enhancements.
- Customer Success:Requirements captured accurately, high customer satisfaction scores, successful implementation and go-live support.
- Product Delivery:
Sprint velocity maintained, timely delivery of WMS configurations and integrations, minimal requirement-related defects during SIT/UAT. - Market Insights:
Quality of competitive research on WMS trends, actionable recommendations for process improvements adopted by stakeholders. - Collaboration:
Positive feedback from internal teams and clients, effective cross-functional alignment during Agile ceremonies and project phases. - Business Impact:
Improved WMS adoption rates, measurable cost optimization for clients, influence on revenue through successful implementations and potential upsell opportunities.
