We are seeking a WMS Business Analyst with deep expertise in warehouse operations and WMS systems. This role will work closely with warehouse operations, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, enhance system functionality, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strong operational knowledge with technical WMS expertise to ensure our system supports business growth and operational efficiency.

  

Key Responsibilities

WMS System Analysis & Enhancement

  • Serve as the subject matter      expert (SME) on warehouse operations and the WMS system.
  • Analyze, document, and prioritize      business requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new      functionality.
  • Collaborate with IT, developers,      and external vendors to design, configure, and implement WMS solutions,      including system workflows, rules, and automation logic.
  • Lead system testing and      validation for new features, upgrades, and configuration changes to ensure      accuracy, reliability, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis      for system issues and recommend solutions to improve WMS stability and      efficiency.
  • Optimize WMS workflows for inventory      management, order processing, picking/packing, replenishment, and shipping      to reduce errors, cycle time, and operational costs.
  • Identify opportunities for automation,      process standardization, and integration with other systems (ERP, TMS,      etc.) to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain WMS      documentation, including configuration guides, workflow diagrams,      functional specifications, and test scripts.
  • Provide training and support      to operational teams on new WMS features, updates, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry      trends and best practices in WMS and warehouse operations to      proactively suggest system improvements and innovations.

  

Warehouse Operations Collaboration

  • Work closely with warehouse      operations teams to understand business processes and pain points.
  • Translate operational needs into      system requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Support operational change      management and training related to WMS updates.
  • Provide guidance and support to      ensure WMS solutions align with best practices in warehouse management.

  

Reporting & Analytics Support

  • Assist in developing operational      and management reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to inventory, orders,      and warehouse performance.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to      support decision-making, process improvements, and customer requirements.
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of      operational data across systems.

  

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead WMS-related projects,      including system upgrades, integrations, and process automation      initiatives.
  • Act as the liaison between      warehouse operations, IT, and external vendors if needed.
  • Document functional requirements,      workflows, and testing protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with      stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and improvements are delivered      on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst, WMS analyst, or similar role in a warehouse/logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations (inbound, storage, picking/packing, order fulfillment, shipping).
  • Deep familiarity with WMS systems—design, configuration, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, testing, and implementing system enhancements.
  • Strong analytical and  problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills,      able to work with both technical and operational teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple      priorities and projects simultaneously.

  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 3PL operations or      multi-customer warehouse environments.
  • Knowledge of system integration      and automation in WMS.
  • Experience with ERP systems      integration.
  • Advanced Excel, SQL, or BI tool      skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Ability to mentor junior analysts      or warehouse staff on WMS best practices.
