Duties & Responsibilities:
6G Research and Proof of Concept development:
With the successful deployment of 5G wireless and the need for more advanced wireless communications laid the foundation for 6G technology research. So far, the end user experiencing communications with 5G wireless technology. With recent advances in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Intelligent communications will form the core of 6G technology. The 6G wireless technology also aimed to cover the terrestrial, satellite and drone links. Also, the AI and ML will form an integral part of the 6G wireless communications. To cater to all the needs of the 6G wireless technology, industry body actively kick started the research in the following areas.
- New Multiple Access Technologies – MU-MIMO, Rate Split Multiple Access and TeraHertz communications.
- New Waveforms – DFT-s-OFDM, OTFS etc.,
- Neural Receivers – AI based neural networks-based transmitter and receivers
- Beam management – AI based active beam management and steering
- JCAS – Joint Communications and Sensing
- Platforms to support the 6G – NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA programming, SIONNA Libraries, AMD CPU and FPGAs
- Programming - C, C++, Matlab, Python, TensorFlow and other related programming languages.
